Teleidoscope Therapy was founded by Dr. Elisa Cameron-Niang who earned her PhD in clinical psychology from the City College of New York, CUNY and completed her predoctoral internship at Montefiore / Einstein on the combined child, adolescent, and adult track. Her dissertation research examined how relational factors inform how multiracial individuals come to understand themselves as racial beings and explored how they negotiate dynamics of privilege and oppression throughout the racial identity development process. Dr. Cameron-Niang has over a decade of clinical experience, as she earned her Masters of Education in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University and obtained her license in mental health counseling prior to obtaining her doctorate. Clinically, Dr. Cameron-Niang is passionate about providing relational, culturally-sensitive, inclusive, and trauma-informed care to the individuals and communities she serves. Over the course of her training and career she has built expertise in working with individuals in the perinatal period, couples, and those from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Dr. Elisa Cameron-Niang is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) supporting residents of New York State, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) supporting residents of Connecticut and Colorado.
